Rain backpack

True to its name, Thule has developed a very durable backpack that is perfect for rainy days. Waterproof. The bag has a convenient vertical handle, which is very convenient if you want to carry it in your hands or take it out of the luggage compartment during a flight. The design of the shoulder straps means the bag sits slightly above the shoulder line (which can help reduce back pressure). The bag is long and narrow so bulky things won't fit inside. The straps are nice and wide, there is a chest strap. What I didn't like so much is that the opening of the main compartment is limited to the middle by a zipper (and this is only on one side, the second is even shorter) There are three main compartments: 1. Small for storing small items such as a wallet Telephones (even an iPad mini fits in there). It is soft and protects your screen2. Middle compartment to store all things in organized pockets and a key hook.3. The main compartment is divided in two, one for a laptop (which can also be quickly accessed through the side zip) and various other larger items that you might not fit in the center section * Functionality * The lack of a bottom strap, for me, means that it is not very suitable for longer hikes. It's great for short hikes, especially when it's wet outside, or city/work trips when it's raining to protect my laptop from the elements. The slim design makes it difficult to put bulky items in or easily reach the bottom of the main compartment. All in all, this is a great bag for city and commuting that will keep your valuables safe. Made by Thule means this is a durable backpack that will last quite a while.

Pros
  • Padded quick access pocket for phone and small items
Cons
  • Very expensive
