Secret monster monitor

I won't go into too much detail as there are already "professional" reviews to read if you want full coverage. Some info: Screen/display quality: Excellent, no dead pixels as far as I can tell, and the backlight glare isn't bad at all for me. The picture quality for this price range is probably one of the best, if not the best, out of the box. I don't think I've had to adjust display settings other than brightness because it looks so good. It's bright enough to use on sunny days, by the way, and it's made by a Californian. Gaming: Sure, it won't compete with good 200Hz and 300Hz monitors, but it doesn't have to either. To be able to find this monitor for just $130 when it goes on sale defeats anything it has to compete with. Do not use Aim Stabilizer or Super Resolution and set OD to either Smart OD or Image Quality for better protection against ghosting. The balance will begin to lead to a noticeable halo, but there is nothing to worry about. I figured out early on what settings I wanted to use, and the hardware controller was more than good enough for that. It has everything you *need* in a gaming monitor (and more than most in this price range). All ports are easily accessible and I didn't realize it at first, but there's a hole in the base that's meant to help with cable management. Build Quality: I assume this is more for a stand than a display, but it's good. It doesn't wobble and doesn't feel particularly cheap. It's nice that it's height and tilt adjustable, but it can't be used vertically for those who want to set it up that way. So yes, an unbeatable $130 monitor and still a great $160 deal.
