Accidentally stopped working

I bought this to add more memory to my new school computer. It has been working fine for the past few months to date. For some reason my computer cannot see that the device is connected. It disconnects every 5 seconds or so and then reconnects. This is useless now. What's happening? I didn't drop it or anything as it didn't leave my desk. My computer too.
