This chain is by no means 26" long! Barely 24"! My 106 lbs. The pup, a Pyrenean St. Bernard mix, wears a 24" chain but could benefit from a more comfortable fit. The finer chains, 3-5mm, are very harsh on fine or double coat and end up pulling hair out and causing tangles and shedding in the neck area. But if loose enough, they are more comfortable for a light walk on a leash. Unfortunately, this chain, which is described as 20" to 26" is not as long as the 8mm choke chain we are using now DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIN FOR A DOG THAT REQUIRES MORE THAN A 23" CHOKER! Watch out for choke chains called "hair catchers" they are much nicer, lighter on the pup and stronger and better looking too. DJC
