My 18 month old daughter uses this to talk to her grandparents. Whenever she used our phones, she would add people to the call using the touchscreen, allowing her to walk and talk without involving strangers in the call. It's so light she can carry it with her and she's dropped it a few times but so far there has been no damage. The only thing is if you press the power button twice it will call back the last person so I covered it with some tape because they forgot after that. I've even used it myself to wash dishes a few times because I can carry it on my shoulder like an old-fashioned phone.
