later They keep water out when washing or small animals for long term storage but the rubber material could be a little softer. My exhaust pipe is pretty small so they don't even go halfway through. The photos show that they are sort of "layered" for different exhaust sizes. Mine seems to be between sizes and the size that doesn't let water through I really need to stuff in a tube. If the rubber was softer it would be easier. but they work! and I love the "remove" flags!
