I broke these shoes in after a couple of 30 minute walks and found them comfortable with great support - probably the most comfortable new walking shoes I've ever bought. I've never felt a stinging in my arthritic knees, which is unusual. I usually wear a 7-1/2 M, but following the advice of some reviewers, I ordered a half size up. The shoe is still snug fitting but there is plenty of room in the toe box. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that some buyers find the shoes too small or too tight when ordering their normal size. ASICS seems to be making their shoes narrower and shorter. I measured them with my Brooks 7-1/2 sts and found that the 8 sts are exactly the same length and width.
