Lightning port connection is not reliable

This was advertised as compatible with ios but it's doubtful that when I connect the lightning cable from my iPad the iPad doesn't always charge. I've given it 3 stars consistently because I didn't have to plug and unplug and flip the lighting cord to connect. It was a lot cheaper than the Apple brand, but now I understand why
