I wrapped this 60' tape around 3/4 PVC. It is outside in an open metal building .The pipe is a drinking line for the chicks (automatic waterer included).Our temperature has dropped to 4 degrees and the water in the pipe is fine.I wrapped the pipe in styrofoam wrap and then taped it all the way around.Unfortunately chickens have in some areas this insulation was broken.The heating tape continues to prevent the water from freezing.Very happy with this product.
