Review on Lund SX312S Elite Series Black Fender Flare Set - Sport Style Standard Front and Rear Flares (4 Piece) by Scott Channell

Looks good but is NOT 100% OEM

These fender flares look great on my 2013 F150. However, most F150s are fitted with stone guards on the underside of the fenders. You should either remove them or start with small contour cuts along the fender flares; as holding the stone shields in place will prevent the fender flares from seating properly. Creating contour cuts takes a lot of time to get right. Luckily I have a contour gauge and was able to make near perfect cuts in that area. I would give 5 stars if they had flares with matching notches because you need someone to hold the flares firmly against the vehicle so you can mark where those cuts should be. I have a 2001 F150 with factory fender flares installed and I noticed that Ford put these notches on the factory fender flares and left the stone guard in place so I wanted to do the same to them. The rubber pad seems to work, but there is no glue. inside so it sticks. Before installing it, I smeared a small ball of black silicone on the back to keep it from moving. Be careful when you put them on the floor, they scratch very easily. I have a gravel driveway and I stick torches on each wheel. One fell off leaving fine scratches that I had to polish. Overall, after installation, a very nice product!
