I bought these hooks to hang the emergency brake cable on the underside of the front cover on my fifth wheel RV to keep the cable from snagging on my fifth wheel. It actually happened as I turned sharply, pulled the cable out of the cable box and immediately applied the emergency brake. The front cover is a glossy fiberglass gel coat that may not stick to some tapes. I tried it twice, following the instructions carefully and holding the tape in place on the surface with the plastic hook for 30 seconds. Both times the 3M hook came off the strap. I may need to prep the surface with rubbing alcohol or something to make it work, but so far I'm very disappointed with this product.
