Assembly is easy. The only tool you will need that is not included is a Phillips head screwdriver. You can watch the video or follow the fairly short printed instructions. The product itself, while stable, wobbles slightly even without a bike. I wish it was a little more stable but it held the bike well. It was also quite easy to use - attach the front wheel with the included rubber band and then move the bike so that it's standing on the rear wheel and the seatpost is resting on the handle (height adjustable). It's pretty stable during use, despite a slight wobble, as long as the bike isn't in the way and nobody's going to bump into it. I bumped into it a few times and it would have capsized if I hadn't caught it in time. I think it could be improved if there was some sort of strap attached to the seatpost instead of just relying on gravity. I could try to optimize something. Overall I'm quite happy with it. This is not a simple bike storage solution. A wall or ceiling mount can save more space but is much easier to install.
