Lately I've been ordering some $40 shoes. This was the first pair I got as it seemed like I really got what I paid for. The color in real life is not as bright as the pictures on the web. The material over the rubber soles is very thin and feels cheap. The sudden inflating strap on the upper felt like a gimmick in person, and when I added it to the shoe it seemed overly busy. The shoes came in a package, not a box. Not bad, but in this case I saw dents in the material of the shoe before I removed the plastic. I'll wait a few days but I'm thinking of returning and definitely won't buy again. ---- Update 3/1 -------------------- ---- I have decided not to ship the shoes back. For the first few days I decided to just leave the shoes with the intention of sending them back. I ended up removing the strap at the top and then, surprisingly, was able to put them on. In addition, the rear zippers make it easier to put on and take off the shoes. Finally, I have some Dr. Scholl and they felt a lot better. I'm sticking with my 3 star rating because it's not the best quality. For the price you pay, this is something fun, new and exciting to add to your shoe park and wear from time to time. While my rating hasn't changed, I wanted to reflect a more positive vibe in my comments.
