Over the years I've tried many shower caps: apothecary, ruffled, terry-lined, hotel-freebie, luxury extra-large, single-layer, double-layer, satin-lined: you name it, I must have it tried. This is one of the best in my opinion. I have long thick hair so the hat needs to be big enough to carry everything but not dangling or sitting around my neck like some of the big ones do: this keeps my hair up and dry. Bonus points for the cute style that makes me feel a little less like a circus clown than a drugstore polka dot shower cap. But what do I like most about this cap? The rubber strap is encased in an outer material so that no mildew smell develops over time. If you know what I'm talking about, and you hate that smell as much as I do, then you understand why this is such a bad deal. Yes, this cap is a little more expensive than the usual single-layer drugstore caps, but it is also of a much better quality. (And you feel like a 1920s bathing beauty in Atlantic City!)
