Let's get something straight first. This is not a portable air conditioner. This is a portable cooling unit. I bought this for traveling in a van as I don't want a larger window block on the window when traveling. It cools well and helps me sleep comfortably on the go. There is no remote control, you have to turn it on and off manually. Easy to use: pour water, turn on! There are three settings and an off button. The water level is easy to read: there is a transparent plastic screen on the side that allows you to see the water level. Top handle: facilitates lifting, the device is very light. Size: The size is perfect, I can easily put it in my van or hang it up. It doesn't take up much space and works on the desk, outdoor table or in a tent. Noise Level: I'd say it's about as loud as a small fan. It doesn't disturb my sleep, but it makes noise when the fan is moving. It actually makes great white noise if it helps you sleep. Charging: It takes about 4 hours to fully charge the battery (included). Takes about 4-5 hours on average. There is a side light inside the device that flashes red while charging. Once charging is complete, the red light will remain solid until the device is unplugged. Does not light up in battery mode. Suitable for people who are sensitive to light when sleeping. Easy to clean: The fabric panels inside the device can be easily washed and dried. With no water in the block, they dry fairly quickly. Durability: The block appears to be mediocre in durability and quality. It's not overly built or sturdy, but I can see it slowing down slightly when dropped. Overall this is a great device for the money and will help you stay cool when in close proximity (about 3ft). I intend to continue using it during my van trips.
