I really like this garland as it is easy to put up but has a big impact on the room. I was originally going to place it double over the mantel of an electric fireplace, but one of my cats backed off and started playing with the rounded berries. So I hung it on the double window in my living room and I love it there even more! It uses 3 AA batteries which are not included. The battery compartment closes with two latches, so no screwdriver needed! With one button control you can switch the light: constant on, flashing or off. Very easy to use. The control/tester boy is small enough to be hidden at the end of the garland. The only problem is that it can leave dust from the "snow" and pinecone seeds (see mantel picture), but that's incredibly minor, and a damp rag or a quick vacuum will solve this problem.
