It doesn't warm at all. It doesn't push forward to create good pressure to straighten hair. The curl part doesn't get hot enough to curl no matter how long you wait or how much hairspray you add. They just don't spin. It's more like a very, very small wave in your hair where you're trying to get it. I'm not even sure if I call it a wave
