My dog was between medium and large. I followed the reviews and ordered the medium. I'm glad I did as the environment at the back is still too big. He can easily take off the hind legs and then take off everything. I'll try to get creative with stitching some of the pieces in the back to make them more snug, but the front fits just fine. He doesn't exactly hate it, which is good. He can move freely in it. It's getting colder and he's usually shivering outside so I can't wait to see how warm he gets. The only thing that let me down was the top. When I tried to tighten it so he wouldn't pull it all the way out, the elastic came all the way out. Eventually it broke before I got it. I'll see if I can get a new rubber band.
