A must have for short haired/hairless dogs!

I have a 50 pound Pit/Shar Pei mix (29" chest and 22" back) and the middle base layer fits perfectly! It's stretchy and durable, with plenty of room for movement and bath breaks. Should work well in the winter months considering it has no fur insulation. It's not thick and seems designed to work with other outer jackets and sweaters, but I think it will work fine on its own on cooler days. The red jacket gives him some much needed warmth for our early morning walks (temps stay below 40F). . The

Problem with size chart

My dog is "medium sized" in the sense that you can't tell he has a long/short back or legs, or that he has a neck, shoulder circumference, or large chest has / small. Common truth: measure twice, cut once, I hold and measure many times but do so to a quarter of an inch and round to a full inch. However, I had to try three sizes as no two measurements of three sizes fit in the same size. One of my dog's three measurements caused one of the remaining measurements to fall two sizes from the…

My dog was between medium and large. I followed the reviews and ordered the medium. I'm glad I did as the environment at the back is still too big. He can easily take off the hind legs and then take off everything. I'll try to get creative with stitching some of the pieces in the back to make them more snug, but the front fits just fine. He doesn't exactly hate it, which is good. He can move freely in it. It's getting colder and he's usually shivering outside so I can't wait to see how warm he…

The size is too big! Need a size between small and medium.

Size difference between Small and Medium is too big! Knowing that the length of the back (B) is the most important thing. Why would any company make a B difference between small and medium 7 inches?! While the B difference between XSmall and Small is 2 inches and the B for Large is 4 inches longer than the medium size. The gap is too big and there must be a size between them. Small fits as described, but medium fits more like large. Unfortunately, the little one was too tight for my pug and the

Great brand and quality - note the size does not fit.

My mini aussie weighs 28 pounds. My Cavalier weighs 30 pounds. They wear a small or medium size depending on the Kurgo item. Medium length jackets. Small base layers. Small life jackets. My dog's back is about 17 inches on my Cavalier and 18 inches on my Mini Aussie. The length of the base layer corresponds to the length of the zipper. My dogs swam in the area. Small size is better for her. The hind legs are longer than the zipper so there are a few inches in there so the dog's back doesn't…

Too big although I measured correctly

This coat seems great but I measured my dog and it's just huge on her. She's a 10-pound Hanavese who's always cold. Her back measures 13 inches so I was arguing between small and medium. I have a small one and he swims on it. I can hem the legs, but the belly band is only tight when it's zipped around her body in the back. He has no way of establishing himself there. Seems like a good coat but it's a really odd fit, not sure which dog fits in the small but it doesn't fit my 10lb 13" Havana cat.
