Review on πŸͺ’ Men's Bevel Safety Razor: Double Edge Blades for Bump-Free Shaving by Cassandra White

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best option for me so far

Quick update: now that I have more experience with various DE razors, I have to say I hate the thin, slick handle. If your hands are wet, it can be difficult to handle. That's my only downside. Over the years, I've used almost every option available to black men to shave their beards and heads. From creams to different types of electric razors, multi blade razors etc. Some have worked better than others but this gives me the smoothest shave by far. Because of my experience with other blades (especially on the neck), I was hesitant to go down this route. But I figured since I'm still with WFH I'll have time to recover if I come across this before returning to the office. I was pleasantly surprised with the results and will be using this razor on both my beard and head. I got maybe 2 or 3 nicknames in about a month but it doesn't hurt and it's just part of the learning curve. After a month I have no problems with the razor and my head feels great after shaving. I have to admit that I usually exfoliate both my neck and my head with shaving oil and shaving cream. I also use Bump Patrol After Shave (using other methods I would have had a few bumps with Bump Patrol too). So it's not a quick shave, it's a routine for me so the shave doesn't take forever. Also, I've only used expensive Bevel blades so far, but plan to try other less expensive blades as well. other razors. But for those of you who do, I haven't noticed a difference in appearance after shaving, but my 5 hour shade turned into a 20 hour shade (hair grows a little faster). I don't mind. After all, everyone is different, especially if you have coarse hair. Over the years, I've had 'reliable' advice from people that has only resulted in bumps on my head and neck. Therefore, you need to find what works for your skin and schedule. When trying to figure out what works, be patient and understand that not every "reliable" option will work for you. And it can take about a month for your hair to either get used to the new method or for the bumps to appear. Much luck!

Pros
  • RECOMMENDED: Before shaving, use oil to create a lubricant layer that helps reduce cuts and cuts that can cause dark spots and blemishes. Using a shaving brush and shaving cream, create a rich, protective lather that exfoliates and lifts hair for a smoother, easier shave, leaving your skin smoother and softer. Use a safety razor and blades to trim hair at skin level to reduce roughness and irritation. Finish with an alcohol-free aftershave balm that soothes and soothes skin immediately after application. v
