The smallest mat size in this review (300 x 200mm), non-magnetic and no compartments. I used this mat today for a quick soldering job on my plastic coated wooden table. Here are my complaints after about 30 minutes of use. Dust from solder and rosin flux quickly adhered to the mat, making a very dirty and uncomfortable work surface that was not easy to remove; I ended up having to wash it in the sink when shaking it out didn't help, and even there are still solder specks and rosin stains that can't be removed without the help of a fingernail. The rug has little to no scratch resistance, and any sharp or pointed edges cut through easily, so definitely don't expect cut resistance! The material is MUCH thinner than I expected. It doesn't even appear to be particularly heat resistant. While this seems to have saved my desk from damage, there are now discolored waves on the carpet from the iron. When I removed the mat from the table, I heard static like I was sorting clothes out of the dryer. If the pad slides on the table at all, the electrostatic charge will be significant. I feel it with my hand when I pick up the rug - like I'm rubbing the ball across the rug. I would use this pad extra cautiously when working on delicate parts, or maybe not use it at all. It was less than ten bucks so I think I got what I paid for.
