I bought these for the custom stands I use for my JBL ES20 speakers. I needed spikes since I'm carpet mounted and I wanted bass from these speakers. I chose Dayton spikes because of their reputation and the fact that they include everything I need for my setup. I was a bit confused about the price but they are something of a special item so I was expecting that. After installing them about 2 weeks ago I noticed a definite improvement over not using spikes, but I don't think the average consumer will notice a difference. All in all I would buy them again but will definitely try to find them cheaper.
