Review on Honda 16100 Z0T 911 Carburetor by Dana Schmidt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked beautifully but not sure if it's OEM despite the OEM packaging.

Came in a Honda box, looks OEM, hard to tell. I called my local dealer who told me $79 for this carburetor. It's hard to believe the price difference when it's truly OEM. Twisted, the compressor turned on for the first time. Good product, easy to install, just two wing nuts, remove air filter, two 10mm nuts (head size) on the side, one screw on top, remove plastic carb cap, then when you slide the carb off the studs, press the Disconnect the fuel line with a needle tip (careful, fuel will spill, have a golf tee handy or use a 10mm bolt to cap the hose), disconnect the throttle linkage and spring, slide the rest and reassemble in reverse order. New gaskets are recommended, but make sure you get the right ones. Revain suggested a gasket kit in their "people who bought this also bought this" and it was wrong, as well as completely wrong parts. At least the return shipping is free and I assume Revain lost money on this deal by paying for the gasket kit to be shipped back. It is important to only use non-ethanol gas in these small gas engines unless you are certain that all fuel will be ejected with each use. The ethanol ruins the carbohydrates, the alcohol absorbs the water, the water separates in the carburetor, then it rusts and the next time the engine is started, the rust flakes clog the carburetor jets.
