I bought these because I hate it like a dirty cook who always ruins nice fish towels and oven mitts that I overpay for. So I thought what the hell. I didn't order them expensively if you find that to clean you can just wipe with a damp label and water. Use under hot dishes and pots on countertops and serving tables. They should lie in a very thick layer forever. The weave pattern helps with condensation or sauce spills! VICTORY! I ended up buying an extra set to put our dinner plates on to protect our table. Then I bought two big enough to dress a casserole and gloves to match! Eureka! These will be Christmas gifts for daughters and sisters!
