I bought this filter wrench for my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee which has the filter on the front of the engine. On many previous oil changes on this vehicle, getting the filter wrench onto the filter let alone in the correct position to turn it was a real problem. I put this special wrench on the filter and started turning it. I immediately thought he was slipping without stopping. Much to my relief, this wrench easily unscrewed the filter on the first try. And there have been many cases where the filter has become quite dense over time. As a result, the oil change was significantly faster than before. I used a rubber band on the sponges as suggested to fit snugly around the filter. That's money well spent. I definitely recommend this tool as an advantage over filters in hard-to-reach places.
