Was the MX series for . Spring . until the mouse clicker started misbehaving - then I had to use a USB switch to switch between work and home computers (I work from home). This guy. Now this guy is perfect. The independent 1-2-3 keys on the keyboard and mouse are fantastic. At first I thought it would be annoying - why on earth do I need a mouse on one computer and a keyboard on another - ooh, but I REALLY SHOULD. start a playlist/netflix/something personal, have fun writing a working document. It is great! My biggest suggestion is NOT to use Bluetooth. I think it drains the battery too much, connects much slower and often, especially with a Mac, doesn't always connect. My work computer has a pre-boot password (Bitlocker) so I can't use Bluetooth with it. With universal USB, it's INSTANTLY workie workie happie happie go go go. Works every time before boot and I'm convinced it uses less battery too. Although the keyboard is louder - not quite the old IBM bashie bashie keyboard is loud, but maybe close - it feels good. It's nice and responsive. Not quietly and not quietly did I press the button at all? The mouse isn't as big as the MX850 (I think I had one), but it's a good size and fits comfortably in the average girl's hand. The button to switch devices on the mouse does not affect normal use. The feature I don't use is Flow. Flow is a handy feature that allows you to move your mouse over the edge of the screen and automatically switch to another computer (mouse only I think). It looks nice in theory, but I think my setup is confusing it. I have a Mac and a PC and they both share a monitor - during work hours my work laptop uses it, and outside of work hours I manually switch the monitor (via the monitor menu) to my Mac - so when I'm trying to stream it from is lost on a Mac and I can't switch it back - probably because it can't get to that side of the screen. But for me it's not a mandatory feature. I have too much control over this path. I like that the keyboard has inscriptions on the keys of both windows, poppy, laptop. Example: One key has Start/Alt/Opt, the other has Alt/cmd/Apple. There are also Fn keys. This is very convenient for my disabled husband with an apple. Since it has laptop Fn keys, some standard keystrokes need to be changed, but it's easy. For example, the print screen is fn+insert (with the camera icon). and a restricted print screen - ctrl+fn+insert . but they are all very simple - small changes throughout the day. Did I mention that I really like this keyboard/mouse? Yes, yes, I know. maybe you too. :) All in all, two warm thumbs up. Really great replacement for my previous Logitech, didn't think it could get any better but this one is definitely better.
