We received the microphone and right after unpacking it turned out that the first one was defective - the battery did not fit into the microphone base slot at all and did not rotate. This product requires 9 volts for the microphone and another 9 volts for the connector/wireless transmitter. After contacting the company I got a replacement. The new microphone worked, but it had interference and a short range for wireless communication - not much more than a wired device. It also will NOT fit in a mic holder on a car, which is amazing as it's a singing mic! It only worked a few times. We don't use our car very often so we just took it out and put in new batteries and the mic didn't work at all - we only used it 2 or 3 times I think. I won't buy any other. I'll come back to the wired mic which fits in a holder, has much better sound and lasts longer than a few games. What a disappointment.
