The LapGear Sidekick Lap Desk is well designed and very comfortable to use!
How to calculate the reasons? Completely metal free. so light and not a conductor of digital signals. It consists of a molded plastic plate and cushion that conforms to your feet and elevates the laptop enough that my wrists feel more relaxed as I type this. It has a small barrier on the front to stabilize the laptop and a silicone strap on the back for the laptop to rest on, which is another point of stability. And on the right side there is a back pocket for the phone. I really think that if you refrain from using the phone case, you can use this portable table with a width that exceeds the recommended upper limit of 15.6 inches. I see nothing wrong with that. I don't need a key or cup holder, just my laptop and maybe my phone!
