These plumb bobs require you to catch the line in the middle and then through the side and tie it which is a little less convenient than the one where the end of the tie unscrews and you thread the cord through it and then wrap it back onto the bob. Both the finish and tip aren't as good as my other beans, but the price is less than a quarter the cost of a prettier bean and is more than reasonable for my purposes. The picture adequately reflects the quality of the bob and it works well in very light winds. I use some of these beans indoors for layout work.
