Doesn't work for tablet replacement parts

Chip won't attach? I pinned it, then put everything together and couldn't unlock it?! Then he took everything apart again, but the chip didn't stick! The home button now seems to work after reconnecting, but the screen doesn't respond to swiping or opening the camera?
