I've been wearing these socks for a few days to relieve swelling after foot surgery. They have a snug fit but are comfortable for longer wear. Much easier to use for compression than an elastic bandage. Particularly comfortable to wear in bed to provide the necessary compression at night. Please note the size: I thought the small/medium was too small for me - I wear size 10.5 men's shoes - but it's not. They fit well. They were originally bought for my wife who wears much smaller shoes but the small/medium size was too loose for her. This is the only reason I gave it a 4 and a 5 otherwise. Customers should consider "sizing down" if they want a tighter fit.
