LAST CHECK 09/17/2020 The speakerphone just doesn't work. Everyone complains that they cannot be used because of the poor sound quality. Normally the sound is just distorted. Then it happens to be clear, but then it gets super loud on the listeners' side. They accuse you of screaming. I upgraded all ethernet cables to category 6 and hooked up 1G service so I've ruled out the internet as a problem. This is a hardware or firmware issue. I have to pull out the Jabra 510 to use the speakerphone. The phone works perfectly. Using a headset works great. Because the speaker was an important part of this desk phone. I would not buy. Shame on Poly that the phone originally shipped with outdated firmware that didn't work with Teams. They knew it wasn't ready for Teams, just Skype. Then you have bad core functions? I'm avoiding poly forever. Feel free to reply to Poly! LAST REVIEW ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 Latest firmware update appeared on Teams admin site on August 30, 2020. After this update, all my problems in my previous review will be fixed. Now I have a named directory, speed dial, and named favorites. The user interface has been greatly improved and the phone now works as it should. I still don't see names in my voicemail messages, but I might. The only problem I have now is that the speakerphone gets nothing but complaints from the people I'm calling. I never get to use it as they say I'm too quiet and sound like I'm in a tin can. I didn't dock stars for this. I think it could be my router and cables so I'll investigate and get back to you. Because they sell a version without a phone. I don't think it can be that bad. Something must be wrong with my attitude. I would now recommend this phone. The learning curve is a bit steep for some users. The phone works and has good basic functionality. I'm glad there is a 7 inch screen. I can't imagine anything less (like the CCX400). I would recommend a larger screen. I wish Teams had a send to phone feature. I can never seem to find this as a device in commands. I think it will come with BToE software updates. But we'll see if it ever comes to my Teams app. The watch face only shows #, no names or descriptions. Presumably this is in the process of being updated with a firmware release (Microsoft released in May. It's now June and nothing for the CCX500). You also cannot see the call on your computer and transfer it to your phone. Basically, right? Appears as a device in some places, not in others. Team video chat audio cannot be sent to this phone. a silly $90 VOIP phone with no caller ID (but with a fancy touchscreen you can use while looking at your computer to compare your contact name to a phone number in your recent history. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE , BEFORE THE FIRMWARE IS READY TO LAUNCH MICROSOFT "PERSONS" SO YOU CAN SEE THE CALL ID.
