This little down jacket is SO cute! It's definitely what you pay for in terms of heat; Outside, in his mid-30s, he shivered a bit with just a vest but was glad when I wore a sweater underneath. The medium was comfortably roomy for my 8 lb cat and perfect for layering. It's very light - I would say similar to what a person would wear in spring weather, not winter. The clips on the outside of the vest were great for walking but if it was a cat or dog what stuff they could easily slip out of. I wouldn't count on going through a vest if you have an escape master. Overall it appears to be of good quality except for a few strands sticking out and you can't help but notice how adorable it looks!
