Surprise! My cat uses them.
I have placed them in various rooms in the house where the cat frequents. He definitely uses them. I used removable glue to attach the rug grip pad to the bottom so it doesn't move if scratched. The boards are reversible, so if one side is completely destroyed you can flip it. I also placed them near the edge of the sofa so his wish to scratch would be directed towards the pillow and not the corner of the sofa. while it works fine. He has a scratching post in his room where he spends most of his sleep. Very happy with it.
