Venzo Torque Wrench: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00811WQT8/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4 After reading many reviews I decided to go with the Venzo Torque Wrench. After reading many other reviews, both positive and negative, I can say that most of the negative reviews are most likely due to operator error. Unless you're used to working on your bike I wouldn't recommend starting now, not with a torque wrench. You run the risk of tearing off screws, screw heads, splinter carbon, etc. Take it to your LBS (local bike shop) like you have in the past. However, if you operate your bikes like I do, then this is a great piece of kit. I would like to clarify the misconception about torque wrenches to help those who have had problems with them. So: 1. When you get this tool. It is preset to 2 nautical miles. Don't change it yet.2. Hold the wrench in one hand and you can "click" or flip the wrench head with the other hand. You may need to use a moderate amount of force. This ensures the proverbial "click". It's a key head releasing @2NM rather than an audible "click". You will notice that the head shakes when it reaches 2 NM. Repeat this several times and you will understand the function of the button. People waited for the "click" and jerked past where the head was released. This will BREAK your bike and you'll hear a crackling sound instead! 3. Now turn the knob to 4 nautical miles and repeat the process in your hand. You will find that this is quite difficult. Twice as heavy to be exact. Some people can't move it. Again, you'll notice the head tipping over before you hear an audible "click." 4. As with other compression loaded spring/torque wrenches, the head is a mechanism that operates under a specific load. You may hear a click, but you will see the head of the wrench tip over, indicating you have reached the set torque. Long reach wrench. Great little tool for bikes and the like. Not as good quality as some of the others I've seen that cost over $150. However, at $45, it compares very well to the advertised 4% tolerance. I have not tested this, however torque was released in multiple tests under the same load. 2-18 NM I haven't tested the above yet, but I doubt there will be much variation at 4%. There is a guide, a bit vague, hence my explanation of the function. Has a conversion graph. NM/KGm IP/NM etc. Calibration sheet certification. Got it a day early from the carrier, bonus. 4 stars because it's not perfect. 4 stars because it is a good and reliable product for the price. Comes in a hard snap-on box with all the bits advertised. Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes. Definitely highly recommended if you are actually going to use it. Would I buy it again, why not? I have one now!
