I often have ingrown toenails as do my children. Nail clippers cut unevenly on my big toe, so I often have to switch nail clippers to find bigger, sharper ones. A few years ago I finally started using nail clippers and have noticed an improvement in my nail health and a reduction in ingrown toenails. However, finding a sharp set that would not wear out after a few months was a challenge. I have started using Harperton nail clippers and nail clippers and I am very satisfied. In fact, everyone in my house fights for her. They are sharp and clean cut. About a month or two ago we came across Purely Northwest brand nail clippers. They were amazing and rivaled the Harperton in quality and performance. I was able to get a pair of 5 inch nail clippers and they raised the bar. I like the rubberized finish of the Harperton tongs, but the Purely Northwest tongs have a slight curve that actually provides a sturdier, more secure grip. Purely Northwest's cutting head is approximately 1/3 narrower, resulting in a sharper point and cutting edge. This ensures an accurate cut and a clean line for trimming the inside of the nail bed. When I cut the tip of my nails, whether it's my little nails or my big toes, the pliers cut without breaking or splitting the nail. Then I can make precise cuts on the cuticles of my fingers and toes. Finally, the packaging of the nail clippers, like the Purely Northwest nail clippers, is elegant and professional. I love that the jars have foam inserts that hold the wire cutters in place. The Harperton brand makes a great product and this is by no means a snub to them. It is their quality that I use to rate and review the Purely Northwest brand. "Pure Northwest" wasn't a household name that I knew before. They offer a very high quality product to help you trim, shape and soften ingrown toenails that can result from a poor quality haircut. Stainless steel facilitates cleaning and sterilization. This American company has launched a product that will be a welcome addition to anyone's doping kit. These are my absolute favorite pliers at the moment and even my podiatrist asked which pliers I use as he was so pleased! I would highly recommend these pliers and I am sure you will love them as much as I do.
