I ordered this charm hat in black and was so excited I ordered another in red. While these little hats are obviously not premium in terms of material, for the price they will make a great addition to the 1950's style dresses that I like to wear to parties. As others have pointed out, the hat is very small but looks cute when clipped at an angle on the front of the head. I might have liked the veil better, but once I loosened it up a bit, it was ok. I was pleased that both caps came with a long strong silver alligator clip and a narrow stiff black satin ribbon. A clip or headband can be threaded through the short, flat, elastic loop on the upper underside of the cap. I'm assuming the clip is meant to be used with the updo. I probably won't use it since I never wear my hair like this, but I will use a headband. Since my hair is dark, the headband is almost invisible when the hat is on.
