This is real and grainy face scrub - remember before you buy it says it's an amazing product, almost black and thick, doesn't absorb moisture the skin on at all. I have acne prone skin even in my 40's. no fun when my 7 year old comes in and says "dad you have 3 new bumps on your face" and then thinks for a few seconds and says "but you still look pretty" - I'll take that. After a few weeks of use I can say with confidence that my acne has reduced and I have less acne. It's not a miracle cure, but it works well. I've tried quite a few other products but plan to stick with this one for now.
