Update (March 2, 2021): Downgraded to 1 star. The 72-77mm ring is not reliable at all. Even with Xume's magnetic lens cap, it's easy to remove. A total disappointment in use. Let's get to the breakthrough. Original review (February 8, 2021) There are two sizes of these step up rings: 72-77mm and 67-77mm. I had no problems with the 67-77mm rings but had to return two different 72-77mm rings as they came loose easily. The third seemed to work, but I was wrong to believe it. I had a Freewell 77mm 2-5 Stop VND and it fell off. Landed on a soft pillow next to my desk and the VND cracked. Hm. I take this as a sign not to buy more Freewell devices. I wish I had bought Frewell 6-9 VND stops already. I use it with Freewell 67-77mm zoom lenses without hesitation, but the only thing I trust with the 72-77mm lens is the lens cap. If you are that size, test carefully and don't repeat my mistake. Two stars overall as I spent the money on the boost ring and VND. For the money I have to spend on a different VND I could have gone for the Peter McK Polar Pro version.
