Review on Original Donut Shop Single Serve Regular by James Cruz

I loved these things, but after all was said and done and we did the math, even with "free" basic shipping, it cost a lot more than going to the local Costco and buying K-Cups there. I love this brand and it's certainly hard to go wrong with K-cups in general (although I have a comment on that below) but unfortunately the price just lost me. One thing about the K-cups I've made note that unlike several other coffee brands, this particular K-cup from this batch puts more pressure on my Keruig than others. That said, it takes almost twice as long to force water through a K cup than other types of coffee, and sometimes it takes so long that Keruig quits and I only get 2/3 of a cup of coffee. Please note that this Keruig was descaled and cleaned during the actual regular maintenance on the problematic one-way valve and the centrifugal pump. No in-depth analysis why this happens differently (other than cutting a few cups and comparing them), it seems like the coffee might be denser in the K-cup filter section (for those who don't know, some K-cups are more expensive because they put extra filters in the room and encapsulate the coffee inside (things like hot chocolate don't use filters and the contents just get flushed into the cup).
