Update: September 2020 I bought the 3rd. and it doesn't work. The original 2 I bought still work. However, this one now has a logo on it and doesn't work at all. I use my work computer (HP Elitebook G5 850) in several places. I have set up 3 workstations with two monitors. So, I have one monitor connected directly to the laptop via HDMI, and the second monitor is connected to this adapter in the USB-C port. I've tried several combinations to see if I can get it to work, but it won't work. I have different monitors at each location. Acer, LG and Dell will not work with this third adapter. I connected both HDMI and VGA cables. and I flipped the USB-C and plugged it back into the laptop and still nothing. So it was a great product but now it has been redesigned with the company logo "LC-dolida" which makes it garbage. I will return it and yes I will order another one hoping it is an accident. then I will update my rating if it is good. Original review: Works well and cheap price. Lower cost of a similar device at Best Buy. I bought one for work and one for home use (when I work from home). It just works! :)
