* Easy to connect to my old Sony WEGA 13" flat tube TV which still gives a great picture!* This adapter somehow reformats the HDMI 16:9 signal to fit the 4 tubes of my TV :3. It's a bit long, but still looks good. There are no black bars. Maybe you can do more settings, but I lost my remote control! my fault However, it looks great out of the box.* I use an Apple TV 4K streaming box.* I also have a TIVO Mini connected to my TV and don't need to change the TV settings (brightness/contrast etc.) when switching between the two Set top boxes.* This adapter is perfect for the TIVO mini video output.* Overall, this is a good budget buy if you have an old CRT TV and want to connect an HDMI signal to it.
