I might suggest a few to chew, but I wouldn't use them for the whole handle. I might as well keep it somewhere in a bag or container. Carpets give off the smell of a farm or a pet show. My rabbit chews on it a lot. You need to clean a lot if you have a lot of food due to chewing.
