I give this product 2 stars because it looks pretty cool and feels pretty solid. Unfortunately, 2 stars is the highest score. I have a PNY and Samsung NVME external drive, as well as a 512GB PNY CS900, a 256GB Samsung Evo and a 512GB Vulcan G 2.5" drive in external enclosures. I'm using a 256GB Kingston NVMe that erases 1GB/s well on both and deployed it in this case. Now I'm using USB 3.1 Gen 1, so I know my Avery max is around 480Mbps for both. have 350/250 MB/s. So I think it's ok, but try to do a steady write. Some drives like Vulcan-G only have a 70Mbps write speed after about 10-15 seconds. When I tested this drive my computer froze and beeped for about a dozen and basically reset all USB devices and then turned on reconnecting. So I just tried with this one plugged in and it still disconnected and reconnected. With slow speeds and my USB crashing I can't recommend unless you want something barely functional , but looks cool. I'll be back. PS The little tab that keeps NVME in place could definitely be designed better by Ned.
