Review on 🔌 Smart Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit - Wi-Fi Enabled, Wireless Timing Control compatible with Amazon Alexa by Andrew Carrao

I bought this controller to replace a dead ceiling fan and wall mounted remote control. I loved the idea of finally being able to control the fan and light in the bedroom with Alexa. After some minor installation issues that were my fault (problems removing the fan from the ceiling), I found it worked very well with both the remote and Alexa. There were a few minor annoyances that I should mention. 1) Every time you do something (turn on/off the light, start/stop the fan or change the speed), a rather loud beep comes out of the receiver. I wish I could turn that off. 2) When I turn on the fan at low speed, it starts at high speed for about 5 seconds and then drops to low speed. Other buyers have confirmed that this happens to them too. 3) Installing with Alexa was a bit confusing. I followed the instructions and at first Alexa just turned on the fan. After a few minutes of fiddling and rediscovering the devices, I got two devices, both labeled "Ceiling" (my name for it), one controlling the fan and the other controlling the lights. I'm not sure why two devices with the same name work, but when I say "Alexa, turn on the ceiling light" or "Alexa, turn on the ceiling fan to 50%", everything works fine. Overall I would say this is a pretty good product that performs well, especially for the price.
