This zip is in polished brass, with the Jack Daniel emblem affixed a polished brass zip with a metal emblem affixed, so in this case the Jack Daniels logo is a metal engraved piece of metal that is glued to the lighter, that's pretty obvious in real life, but it's still great lighter, the emblem is quite heavy so don't expect it to stand up on its own or the slightest breeze to knock it over. The insert inside, which contains the actual lighter mechanism, is made of brass, so a noble combination. Tip: Take an insert and replace it with a lighter that uses a chrome insert and it will have a nice contrast. In general the glue seems to be something like epoxy, a strong material so it's pretty durable, just don't try to tear the emblem off. Nice gift for any smoker/non smoker/father
