It's terrible. I bought them and took them on several mile hikes in Hawaii. The hikes were in streams, mud, swimming and trails. My legs were shredded. First, the skin on my heel literally wore away until it bled. The skin on the arches of the feet was then peeled off until open sores formed. Finally, the tops of my legs were rubbed until blisters formed. See my photos. Remember that at the moment the sores are 2-3 days old. The looks don't convey the excruciating pain I've experienced on long hikes. My choice was to go barefoot and feel every rock, stick, sharp edge OR carry them on and endure skin irritation. Not the best choice and since my feet already had open sores I decided it was best to leave my shoes on until I was off the trails/mountains.
