Review on πŸ“± Garmin Index S2 Smart Scale: Advanced Wireless Connectivity, Body Fat, Muscle, Bone Mass & More (White) by Lance Jenkins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

OK BUT. in GPS, Finders & Accessories

2/4/2021 - I received my S2 yesterday. Very easy to set up and connect to WiFi. Appears on my Garmin Connect on my iPhone. Looks well made and attractive. Measurements (weight, change in body weight, BMI, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, bone mass, body water content) displayed on your phone. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it's better to use it as a trend than true numbers. Last night my weight dropped 1/2 pound, my body water decreased a few percent and my body fat increased a few percent. It is clear that the two indices are related in the calculations. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because no one else can use the scale in your home unless they have a Garmin connection and you invite them over. Once they have accepted your invitation, you will be able to see all of their details. If someone doesn't want you to see their weight (spouse, etc.) then it won't work. And when someone weighs on a scale that isn't on the GC, it shows up in Garmin Connect as your weight. I don't understand why Garmin makes it so difficult for other people to use the scale. In most households, people just want to step on the scale and use it without having to worry about downloading it to their phone (which I personally like).

Pros
  • a handy thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Tracks what I need it to but it doesn’t turn on like it should. Often takes way to long to wake up.
