Exactly as pictured. It just hangs great. About 3 inches in diameter, about 1.5 inches in height. I used this as a water bowl for a small parrot. Since I change their water frequently, I didn't worry about reducing the available water, which would mean "downsizing" to a smaller plate size. Well, she thought it was a toy and kept throwing it away and then abruptly ripped the frame off the cage and threw it on the floor of her cage. Grrr. Without this small detail, it would have worked perfectly for my purposes. Now I know why small feeders are made of thick ceramic. ;) This will be a very compact feeder/waterer for less aggressive species.
