Excellent option – ballasts

I bought these to replace a row of 8 lights on my kitchen ceiling. The old ballasts were of the T12 type and some of them were difficult to turn on. There are also 16 bulbs and I've changed them here and there. Enter Robertson's new T8 ballasts. After a month of use we really liked them. They turn on instantly when you hit the switch, and none of them buzz. I find that this type of ballast also uses less power than the old magnetic ballast. Also, when connecting the T8 ballast, the old T12 device has more wires than the T8 ballast. Note the connection technique you must use. These ballasts are smaller than the Phillips or Advance brands, which bothered me a bit. I guess only time will tell if they hold up, but at $8 a ballast you can't go wrong. Commercially, this type of Advance brand ballast retails for $15 each. After work I had some ballasts left over, so I fitted them to my lamps in the workshop. Let's see how this ballast will perform in winter in cold weather. But overall I really don't have a single problem.
